Bartosz Rafal Thiede, or simply Bart, is a freelance Musical Director, choral conductor, tenor, and organist. He is an experienced recitalist, accompanist, and soloist.
As an organist and aspiring choral conductor, Bartosz has performed in many distinguished venues around the UK (St. Paul's Cathedral, Tower of London, Westminster Abbey), has toured around Europe with Exeter Choir (Malta, Italy, Austria, Hungary, and Slovakia), and has made several appearances on BBC Radio 4’s Daily Worship, as well as BBC's Songs of Praise, and RTÉ (Irish State Broadcaster).
Bart has been the Director of Music at St Mary’s & John’s Oxford, St Canice’s Cathedral & Kilkenny College, and Rye St Antony, Oxford. He has successfully led thriving and busy music departments.
Bart sings regularly with various choirs and is a skilled tenor with the ability to blend with other singers. He has performed as a soloist in a number of major orchestral works.
As Artistic Director Bart has organised several festivals and recital series and has worked for various arts organisations. He directed Music in Kilkenny during his time in Ireland and is experienced as a freelance arts administrator.
